Digimon Adventure Episode Guide


Episode 1: "And So It Begins" (8/14/1999)
Seven kids at summer camp are mysteriously transported to another reality, where they are befriended by a group of strange creatures who call themselves "Digimon," digital monsters. The seven companion Digimon prove to be more than good company when they transform into larger digital monsters and fight as a team to defend the kids from a giant red beetle Digimon.
Episode 2: "The Birth Of Greymon" (8/21/1999)
While running to escape from the evil Kuwagamon, the kids are knocked off a cliff. As they plunge to a river far below, Gomamon has the fish in the river break their fall, saving everyone. On a beach near the river, the kids discover a series of phone booths, but the phones inside just spout gibberish. While they're investigating, they're attacked by Shellmon, an evil Digimon. To save Tai, Agumon digivolves to Greymon and defeats Shellmon. The kids and their Digimon friends decide to search for whoever built the phone booths.
Episode 3: "Garurumon" (8/28/1999)
The kids and their Digimon counterparts run into an angry Monochromon, who is fighting with a look-alike trying to take over his territory. The kids get away and discover a deserted bus by a lake, where they camp for the night. But the bus is parked on top of a giant Digimon called Seadramon. The kids fall into the water and the Digimon try to fend off the monster. Gabumon digivolves to Garurumon and defeats Seadramon.
Episode 4: "Biyomon Gets Firepower" (9/4/1999)
The kids follow telephone lines to the village of Yokomon at the foot of Mt. Miharashi, a volcano guarded by the flaming Meramon. When Meramon is hit by a flying Black Gear, he becomes violent and attacks the village. The Digimon try to stop him, but their powers are useless against his fireballs. Biyomon, realizing that Sora is in danger, digivolves to the firebird Birdramon and drives the Black Gear out of Meramon, bringing him under control.
Episode 5: "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker" (9/11/1999)
The kids come upon an odd factory that manufactures useless machinery but also produces power. They find Andromon trapped in the factory, and he attacks them when they free him. Agumon and Gabumon evolve into Greymon and Garurumon to fight Andromon, but they're defeated. Tentomon digivolves to Kabuterimon and attacks Andromon's wounded leg, dislodging a Black Gear. Restored to his normal, good self, Andromon directs the kids to a tunnel that leads out of the factory.
Episode 6: "Togemon In Toytown" (9/20/1999)
Following an underground passage, the kids are attacked by a group of sewer-dwelling Numemon. They escape, only to end up in Toy Town, where they are captured by a giant Teddy Bear Digimon, Monzaemon. The Numemon, one of whom has a crush on Mimi, come to their rescue, and when Palmon digivolves to the giant cactus form of Togemon, they defeat Monzaemon, who had been controlled by one of the evil Black Gears.
Episode 7: "Ikkakumon's Harpoon Torpedo" (9/21/1999)
The kids are trying to decide whether they should climb a mountain to get a view of the island, but while they argue, Joe decides to climb it by himself. He is followed by Gomamon, and they're attacked by Unimon, who is controlled by a Black Gear. Sora, Tai and Birdramon show up to help them, but when Birdramon is knocked out, Gomamon digivolves to Ikkakumon and destroys the Black Gear. Unimon flies off, and the kids climb to the top of the mountain and see that there are no other islands in sight.
Episode 8: "Evil Shows His Face" (9/22/1999)
Leomon, a powerful Good Digimon, is struck by a Black Gear, making him a slave to Devimon, the ruler of the Bad Digimon. Devimon orders Leomon and Ogremon, a mighty Bad Digimon, to attack the "DigiDestined"-the kids. The the kids and their Digimon hold them off long enough to escape and hide in a luxury hotel, but the hotel turns out to be a trick of Devimon's, and the exhausted group is again attacked. The kids are saved when Sora's Digivice transforms Leomon back to his good nature, and he detains Ogremon while they escape.
Episode 9: "Subzero Ice Punch!" (9/23/1999)
Tai and Agumon become marooned in Freeze Land, where they encounter the snowman Frigimon, who is controlled by a Black Gear. When Agumon and Tai free Frigimon, he leads them to another frozen island, where they find Matt and Gabumon. As Matt and Tai try to decide what to do next, they're attacked by another Black Gear-controlled creature, Mojamon. Their Digimon digivolve to Greymon and Garurumon and destroy the Black Gear. With the threat ended, the group notices that Infinite Mountain is drawing near again.
Episode 10: "A Clue From The Digi-Past" (9/24/1999)
Mimi and Palmon are accosted by Sukamon and Chuumon, two Digimon who want to kiss Mimi. Fleeing, they come across Izzy and Tentomon. While Izzy tries to decipher the hieroglyphs in some jungle ruins, Mimi and Tentomon wander off and are attacked by Centarumon, a Black Gear-possessed Digimon. Izzy arrives and restores Centarumon to his good self, and Centarumon tells them that their Digivices resemble a legendary mystical weapon against evil. Leomon arrives to attack the kids, but they escape with Centarumon's help.
Episode 11: "The Dancing Digimon" (9/25/1999)
Adrift at sea, Joe and Gomamon are attacked by Ogremon, but Gomamon digivolves to Ikkakumon and defeats him. Soon after the fight, the two are rescued from their sinking craft by Sora and Biyomon, who pull them back to shore. Travelling on, the four come upon a church service. The pastor leading the service and his parishioners are ghosts called Bakemon. Gomamon and Biyomon digivolve to Ikkakumon and Birdramon to fight the Bakemon, and with the help of some quick thinking by Joe, they defeat him. With the threat ended, the two kids and their Digimon go off in search of their friends.
Episode 12: "DigiBaby Boom" (9/30/1999)
T.K. and Patamon, still separated from the others, arrive at Primary Village, which is full of bright colors, fun shapes and lots of Baby Digimon. Elecmon, caretaker of the Baby Digimon and Digieggs, shows up and fights with Patamon. When the babies start crying, though, T.K. convinces the Digimon to settle their differences in a tug of war, which Patamon wins. As a result of the duel, T.K., Patamon and Elecmon learn the value of joining together and sense that when their hearts are as one, the shattered File Island will return to normal. Devimon, of course, has other plans for the kids and the Digital World.
Episode 13: "The Legend Of The DigiDestined" (10/1/1999)
T.K. and Patamon are attacked by Leomon and Ogremon. The rest of the kids arrive and use their Digivices-devices that destroy Black Gears-on Leomon, returning him to his good self. Leomon tells the kids of the legend of the "DigiDestined," who will bring peace to the island. The kids realize they might be able to return home if they destroy Devimon, so they go after him. When it becomes clear that the Digimon aren't powerful enough to defeat Devimon, even in their digivolved states, Patamon digivolves to Angemon. He uses all his power to destroy Devimon and devolves into a Digiegg.
Episode 14: "Departure For A New Continent" (10/2/1999)
Gennai asks the kids to come to the continent of Server to defeat his enemies. He tells them that if they can find certain tags and crests that Devimon hid, their Digimon will be able to digivolve to the next level. The kids and their Digimon sail a raft to Server, but they're swallowed by Whamon en route. They remove a Black Gear from Whamon's stomach, and in return he takes them to where Devimon hid the tags. The kids and their Digimon defeat Drimogemon, remove his Black Gear, and recover the tags.
Episode 15: "The Dark Network Of Etemon" (10/4/1999)
The kids arrive at Server and encounter a village inhabited by Pagumon, tricksters who, with the help of the Gazimon, have imprisoned the real inhabitants of the village, the Koromon. The kids rescue the Koromon and the Pagumon leave, but Etemon and his Dark Network appear and destroy the village. When the Digimon try to digivolve to fight him, Etemon stops them with his rock 'n' roll Concert Crush. The kids and their Digimon are forced to flee into a cave, where Tai finds the Crest of Courage.
Episode 16: "The Arrival Of SkullGreymon" (10/5/1999)
Izzy explains that to digivolve, the Digimon need two things: their human partner must be in danger, and they must have a lot of energy. Since he's the only kid with a crest, Tai stuffs Agumon with food so he'll have the energy to digivolve to his ultimate form if it's needed. Joe's tag leads the group to a Coliseum where his crest should be, but Etemon sends an evil Greymon to attack them. Agumon digivolves to a new form, SkullGreymon, a savage killing machine. SkullGreymon defeats evil Greymon, then turns on the other Digimon before he runs out of energy and digivolves back to Koromon. Joe finds his crest.
Episode 17: "The Crest Of Sincerity" (10/6/1999)
The kids and their Digimon are walking through a barren desert when Gennai appears to tell them that they must take care of their Digimon or they won't digivolve properly. Suddenly, a huge cruise ship appears. Everyone boards it, but it turns out it's piloted by Cockatrimon, one of Etemon's henchmen. He captures the boys and turns their Digimon to stone, then corners the girls. Birdramon and Togemon fight him off, freeing the boys and their Digimon, and everyone flees, but Cockatrimon chases them in his ship. Then a giant cactus appears and destroys the ship. Mimi finds her crest, the Crest of Sincerity.
Episode 18: "The Piximon Cometh" (10/7/1999)
The kids and their Digimon are still walking through the desert in search of crests when they're attacked by Kuwagamon. Agumon, troubled by his experience as SkullGreymon, is afraid to digivolve, and things look bad until Piximon, a famous trainer of Digimon, appears and saves them. Piximon takes them to his home and trains the Digimon. Tyranomon, one of Etemon's henchmen, attacks, and the value of Piximon's training is proven when Agumon digivolves to Greymon and defeats the ferocious monster. Matt and Izzy find their crests.
Episode 19: "The Prisoner Of The Pyramid" (10/8/1999)
Answering an e-mail plea for help, the kids learn the secret of the DigiWorld-it's actually a computer program, and everything in it (including the kids) are just data given form. This knowledge makes Tai feel invulnerable-his real body is safe in the real world. The kids find the source of the e-mail, Datamon, a robot who's been held prisoner by Etemon for years. The kids free Datamon, but he turns on them and kidnaps Sora and Biyomon before fleeing. Tai starts to go after them, but he hesitates when Izzy warns him that any damage he takes in the DigiWorld will affect his real body. Datamon escapes with Sora and Biyomon.
Episode 20: "The Earthquake Of Metal Greymon" (10/9/1999)
The kids go after Datamon, who has kidnapped Sora and Biyomon. While the others provide a diversion, Tai and Agumon enter his pyramid, where he's trying to make a copy of Sora. Tai and Sora are able to get away when Etemon and his forces burst in to attack Datamon. Datamon tries to drop Etemon into a black pit, but he, the pyramid, and Etemon's forces are dragged in, too. Etemon manages to escape and prepares to attack the kids. Fortunately, Greymon successfully digivolves to his ultimate form, Metalgreymon, and is powerful enough to defeat Etemon. But as he does so, he and Tai are dragged into the black pit-a dimensional rift.
Episode 21: "Home Away From Home" (10/16/1999)
Tai and Koromon are pulled through the rift and find themselves back on Earth. Tai goes home and visits his little sister, Kari, who seems to be aware of the DigiWorld. He also discovers that evil Digimon are taking advantage of the rift and creating chaos on Earth. Koromon digivolves to Agumon in order to battle the dreaded Ogremon and then returns to the DigiWorld to help his friends. Although Tai wishes he could stay with Kari, he follows Agumon back, too.
Episode 22: "Forget About It!" (10/23/1999)
Tai and Agumon return to the DigiWorld, where they look for their friends. They find Tokomon, who tells them that the other kids split up to look for them. He and T.K. met up with a new Digimon, Demidevimon, who seemed to be a friend but caused the two to have an angry fight and go their separate ways. Tai, Agumon and Tokomon find T.K. and Demidevimon, and Tai tries to get T.K. and Tokomon to make up. Demidevimon senses he's losing his influence over T.K. and tries to get the others to eat some mushrooms of forgetfulness, but they're warned off by a mysterious female voice (Sora). Realizing that Demidevimon isn't a true friend, Tokomon digivolves to Patamon and drives him off.
Episode 23: "Weregarurumon's Diner" (10/30/1999)
Matt and Gabumon find Joe slaving away in the kitchen of Vegiemon to pay for his meal. But a series of mishaps keeps Joe even deeper in debt. Joe doesn't know that DemiDevimon has ordered Vegiemon to keep Joe working there forever! Just in time, Tai and T.K. arrive and reveal DemiDevimon as an evil Digimon. A battle ensues, with Joe sacrificing himself to save T.K. as Gabumon digivolves first to Garurumon, then to WereGarurumon. The evil Digimons are defeated as the boys resume their search for Mimi and the others.
Episode 24: "No Questions, Please" (11/6/1999)
Searching for Gennai, Izzy and Tentomon find themselves trapped and suddenly fall beneath the surface into a bottomless pit. Vademon tricks Izzy into giving up his curiosity and his worldly possessions and brings Izzy's Tag and Crest to DemiDevimon. Tentomon feels that he is losing Izzy and de-digivolves into Motimon, who helps Izzy retrieve his Tag and Crest as well as his curiosity, then Motimon digivolves to MegaKabuterimon, who defeats Vademon. Izzy and Tentomon are thrust back to the surface where they find Matt, T.K., Tsumonon and Patamon.
Episode 25: "Princess Karaoke" (11/6/1999)
Tai, Joe and their Digimon companions track Mimi to a gigantic fortress where she's being treated like a princess by frog-like beings called Gekomon. The Gekomon are convinced that only Mimi's singing can awaken their master, ShogunGekomon. Mimi strings them along, never quite awakening the sleeping giant. When Tai and Joe call her a spoiled brat she has them all thrown into a dungeon. Finally, in a nightmare, Mimi sees what she's become. She begs everyone's forgiveness and awakens ShogunGekomon, a destructive behemoth who was better left in a coma. It takes an appearance by Metal Greymon to put the brute back to sleep.
Episode 26: "Sora's Crest Of Love" (11/13/1999)
The reunited children find a very emotional Sora, who explains that DemiDevimon told her that her Crest of Love would never glow because she never had love in her life. When DemiDevimon sees all the children together, he and Myotismon attack. However, since Sora realizes her mother did love her, and was only trying to protect her, her Crest begins to glow. Birdramon digivolves to Garudamon and defeats Myotismon. But before the children get too comfortable, the voice of Myotismon tells them they are about to meet their doom!
Episode 27: "The Gateway To Home" (11/20/1999)
Gennai tells the kids about an eighth "digidestined" child, who is currently living in Japan. Planning the capture of that child, Myotismon has discovered a gate in the castle that will allow him to pass into the human world. Demidevimon pulls together some troops, as the kids manage to search the castle for the gate. When the troops appear the Digimon digivolve and scare them away before they are able to get through the gate. A ferocious Digimon named Devidramon attacks and Greymon digivolves into Metal Greymon and destroys Devidramon. Gatomon closes the gate before the kids can get through it.
Episode 28: "It's All In The Cards" (11/27/1999)
The gang watches helplessly as Myotismon slips through the gate into the real world to find the eighth child. At Gennai's house under the lake, the wise old man gives the kids ten Digimon key cards, which, if played correctly, will open the gate. Before they can be used, however, the kids must learn the key cards' secret. Back at Myotismon's castle, the kids' Digimon battle Myotismon, the castle's spider guardian and his parasite minions. At the last second, Izzy cracks the code of the cards and the kids leap through the gate!
Episode 29: "Return To Highton View Terace" (12/11/1999)
The kids are back in the real world at camp and must stop Myotismon before he finds the eighth child. They go to Highton View Terrace, where they are attacked by Myotismon's army. The kids suddenly realize that what they though was a bombing attack four years ago, was actually the appearance of the first Digimon. Izzy suggests that the eighth child must have been there, as well. The kids continue to search for the child before Myostismon can find him or her.
Episode 30: "Almost Home Free" (12/11/1999)
Trying to get home, the kids take the subway with the Digimon pretending to be stuffed animals. They sleep through their stop and end up somewhere in the city. Luckily, they are spotted by Sora's cousin Duane, who picks them up. Duane accidentally knocks Izzy off a bridge during a confrontation and Motimon digivolves into Tentomon and saves him. Demidevimon and his henchmen appear. The Digimon digivolve and the kids are saved.
Episode 31: "The Eighth Digivice" (12/18/1999)
Tai wonders if his sister Kari is the eighth child. Tai's cat Miko knocks a digidevice over the balcony and goes after it. Meanwhile a new Digimon called Raremon begins to terrorize some people by the bay. Izzy checks his computer and Gennai tells him that the other kids are asleep in their houses. Izzy and Tentomon go after Raremon. Izzy's digidevice indicates that the eighth child is nearby. He continues to track him, while Tentomon digivolves to Kabuterimon and defeats Raremon. Miko loses the digidevice to various animals, until a crow ends up with it.
Episode 32: "Gatomon Comes Calling" (12/18/1999)
The city is rocked by the recent wave of monster sightings and bizarre weather patterns. Tai and the others search the Shibaura section of the city, hoping to find the eighth child before Myotismon does. One of his minions, Gatomon, happens to meet Kari in the park and is convinced that she's the eighth child. Meanwhile, Mimi and Sora stumble into the monstrous, flame-belching SkullMeramon. Agumon has to digivolve into Greymon and then MetalGreymon before finally giving the monster a fiery farewell.
Episode 33: "Out On The Town" (1/29/2000)
Matt is taking little brother T.K. home on the train when T.K. and Patamon get into a fight. Patamon takes off and Matt, T.K. and Gabumon head out looking for him, but instead run into two of Myotismon's henchmen, Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon. When Myotismon shows up, the two "henchmen" don't have the hearts to attack the kids, so Myotismon blasts them to smithereens. It turns out they've just been zapped back to the Digital World, but the kids think they're gone for good. T.K. gets so upset that Patamon digivolves into Angemon! Soon Myotismon is running away, and the kids return to their search for the eighth chosen child.
Episode 34: "The Eighth Child Revealed" (2/5/2000)
Gatomon has been staking out Kari from a rooftop, but still can't be sure if she's the chosen child or not. Gatomon can't remember anything that happened before she met Myotismon. Wizardmon finds the digivice, but doesn't want Myotismon to get his hands on it, so he tricks Demidevimon into thinking he's still looking for clues. Wizardmon brings the digivice to Gatomon and helps her remember that all her life, she's been waiting for Kari. She approaches Kari and Agumon attacks, thinking she's hurting Kari. Gatomon protects Kari, proving that she's her Digimon and that Kari is the eighth child. Myotismon is not convinced that Gatomon is the chosen one, but thinks he can find the true eighth digidestined capturing Gatomon and using her as bait.
Episode 35: "Flower Power" (2/5/2000)
With his fogbank barrier isolating the Odaiba district of the city, Myotismon searches for the eighth child, using Phantomon and his minions to round up the district's inhabitants, including Sora, Mimi, Tai and Matt. Joe and T.K. desperately try to find a way into Odaibo. Meanwhile, Sora blasts a self-help tape at Phantomon's spooks, neutralizing them. But this only works temporarily and, with the arrival of the towering Dark Tyrannomon, things look bleak until Togemon transforms into Lillymon, and tames the beast. Sora is reunited with her estranged mother as Lillymon takes on the evil Myotismon himself.
Episode 36: "City Under Seige" (2/12/2000)
Tai goes to rescue his parents and the others being held prisoner by Myotismon. Gennai tells Izzy how to create a Digital Barrier to protect his family from Bakemon. While trying to get into Odaiba to help, Joe and T.K. are attacked by MegaSeadramon. After Ikkakumon digivolves into Zudomon and defeats the beast, they find Wizardmon in the water with the crest of the eighth child. Phantomon follows Sora to Matt and Kari's hideout where he summons two Digimon to destroy the children. Feeling responsible, Kari confesses that she's the eighth child and offers to surrender to Phantomon if he will stop hurting her friends. The villain agrees and carries her off.
Episode 37: "Wizardmon's Gift" (2/12/2000)
Kari has just surrendered to Myotismon. Wizardmon tells the others they have to return Kari's tag and crest to defeat Myotismon. Myotismon tricks Gatomon into revealing that Kari is the eighth child. Myotismon is about to destroy them when the kids and Digimon arrive. Despite the Digimon fully digivolving, they still lack the power to defeat Myotismon. Myotismon unleashes a deathblow to Kari and Gatomon, but Wizardmon jumps in front and dies from the blast. Tai gets the Digivice back to Kari, which helps Gatomon Digivolve to Angewomon. All the Digimon divert their power to Angewomon, who strikes down Myotismon with her celestial arrow. It seems that Myotismon is defeated, but the kids find it strange that the fog has still not cleared.
Episode 38: "Prophecy" (2/19/2000)
Gennai uncovers a cryptic prophecy that could lead to the salvation of the Real and Digiworlds, if Izzy and the others can decipher it. Elements of the prophecy begin to come true: bats appear in the sky, the captured residents of Odaiba call out Myotismon's name in a trance, Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon, and Myotismon rises again, revealing himself in his "true" form, a towering, energy-devouring monster. In an attempt to bring about the last part of the prophecy, Angemon and Angewomon shoot arrows of light at Tai and Matt, causing Agumon and Gabumon to "warp-digivolve" into their ultimate selves: WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon.
Episode 39: "The Battle For Earth" (2/19/2000)
Agumon and Gabumon warp-digivolve into WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. Incredibly, their combined power is still not enough to defeat VenomMyotismon. Not until all the Digimon combine their attacks as one do their crests begin to glow and VenomMyotismon disintegrates. The kids look up to see the sky beginning to break apart and a huge landmass looming towards them. Terrible things begin to happen as Izzy deduces that the continent is in fact the Digital World! The kids and their Digimon realize that they must return and fix the problems there in order to save the Real World. Sadly, they say goodbye to parents and rise bravely into the sky.
Episode 40: "Enter The Dark Masters" (2/26/2000)
The digidestined and their companion Digimon find themselves hurled back to the Digital World after defeating Myostismon. Chuumon tells them that the four Dark Masters have relocated the Digital World to Spiral Mountain and are planning to take it over. MetalSeadramon challenges them. The Digimon digivolve to champions, but are unable to defeat him, as he is an ultimate Digimon. They meet the second Dark Master, Machinedramon and can't defeat him, either. The third Dark Master, Puppetmon, controls them with strings and drops them off to meet the fourth Dark Master, Piedmon. Piximon comes to the rescue and the digidestined escape.
Episode 41: "Sea-Sick And Tired" (2/26/2000)
Piximon sacrifices himself trying to save the digidestined from Piedmon. Our heroes find themselves back in the Digiworld, on the shores of MetalSeadramon's ocean domain. Shellmon attacks them, but they defeat him with little difficulty. MetalSeadramon sends his henchman, Scorpiomon. He and his evil master nearly succeed in barbecuing the kids and their Digimon. They're only saved when Togemon and Ikkakumon warp-digivolve into Lillymon and Zudomon. It's a close call, and Tai and the others doubt that the Digimons' abilities have developed enough to defeat their enemies. As if to prove it, MetalSeadramon reappears.
Episode 42: "Under Pressure" (3/4/2000)
After Whamon and the Digidestined escaped, MetalSeadramon and his henchmen, the Divermon, set out to find them. Izzy discovers that WarGreymon has the ability to destroy Dramon type of Digimon, like MetalSeadramon. The Divermon find and attack Whamon, who takes them on a deep pressure chase towards the bottom of the sea. The Divermon can't follow that deeply so the kids escape, temporarily. Using a makeshift SONAR device, Izzy finds a tunnel that leads to safety. However, Metal Seadramon intercepts them before they have a chance to escape. Whamon burrows his way through the tunnel and winds up safely in a bay, near land. But, Metal Seadramon has followed them through and attacks. Agumon warp digivolves into War Greymon, who attacks MetalSeadramon. The episode ends as "To Be Continued"...
Episode 43: "Playing Games" (3/25/2000)
MetalSeadramon is about to destroy WarGreymon, but Whamon swims in front and takes the deadly blast. WarGreymon then destroys MetalSeadramon with his own River of Power. Tai is excited to fight the other Dark Masters. Puppetmon devises an evil plan to destroy the kids. He makes voodoo dolls of the kids and separates Matt and T.K. from the others. Puppetmon corners T.K. and Kiwimon attacks the other kids. T.K. tricks Puppetmon and smashes his voodoo dolls. The Digimon defeat Kiwimon. Puppetmon swears revenge on T.K. Matt strangely vanishes.
Episode 44: "Trash Day" (4/1/2000)
Tai and the others search for Matt, who's mysteriously walked out on the group. Matt is uncertain of his role in the group and is frustrated that the others are getting stronger and more confident. Cherrymon, a sinister and clever tree-like Digimon finds Matt in this vulnerable condition and convinces him that he must defeat Tai if he's ever to fulfill his potential. Meanwhile, Puppetmon and his nasty henchmen, the Garbagemon, attack the others. They have their hands full until Matt and MetalGarurumon suddenly appear and ice the last of their attackers. Then, to the others' amazement, MetalGarurumon turns on Tai's Digimon, Agumon and challenges him to a fight.
Episode 45: "The Ultimate Clash" (4/8/2000)
Matt and Tai have a heated argument. Matt doesn't understand why the kids were chosen to be DigiDestined and wants to leave. MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon start to fight. Matt and Tai begin to fist fight. Everyone starts to get upset and several Digimon begin to get cross with each other. Puppetmon laughs because this was his plan all along. A friendly entity takes over Kari's body. All the kids and their Digimon are suddenly flying into the sky. Kari (the entity) explains that they are surrounded by computer images from the past. The kids are taken through the past and are shown how they were chosen to be DigiDestined. The crests represent the best quality that each child had four years ago. If that trait is lost, a Digimon can become corrupted. After the story, Kari returns to her body. Matt wants to be alone and leaves. Mimi wants to stay put and not move on with the group. Joe stays with her. The rest go on their way.
Episode 46: "Etemon's Comeback Tour" (4/15/2000)
Ogremon is being chased by a tribe of Woodmon who are trying to steal his power. A meteor crashes down, scaring the Woodmon away and Ogremon is trapped under a tree. Joe and Mimi rescue him and nurse him back to health. Ogremon is touched by their kindness and becomes their friend. The kids explore Puppetmon's mansion. Puppetmon finds Joe and Mimi and MetalEtemon appears. While Puppetmon and MetalEtemon fight, Tai and the group meet the mansion guards who despise Puppetmon. One of the guards agrees to lead a cannon attack against Puppetmon. Ogremon tells Joe and Mimi that he wants to destroy Leomon. MetalEtemon finds the kids hiding in a tree and chases them through the jungle. A creature that resembles Leomon appears during the chase.
Episode 47: "Ogremon's Honor" (4/22/2000)
Mimi and Joe encounter SaberLeomon. He takes them to a safe hiding place with Ogremon. They meet up with Otamamon and Gekomon. Puppetmon challenges the other kids and leads them to a crowd of nasty Red Vegiemon, whom they destroy. Puppetmon is angered and makes his house come to life and tries to crush the kids. MetalEtemon confronts Leomon, who digivolves back to SaberLeomon and they fight. Ikkakumon super-digivolves to Zudomon to help destroy MetalEtemon. Puppetmon tries to enlist MetalGarurumon to attack the kids, but he refuses and destroys Puppetmon. A dying Leomon tells Mimi that he will come back to life in the Village of the Beginnings, which has been demolished. Ogremon, Mimi, and Joe vow to defeat the Dark Masters and restore the Village.
Episode 48: "My Sister's Keeper" (4/29/2000)
As Tai and the others wander the desert, Kari collapses, ill. Tai becomes very upset and the others learn that years ago, Kari almost died because of Tai's negligence. Kabuterimon leads them to a deserted city where Kari can rest, while Tai goes to find medicine for her. With Izzy's Internet skills, they finally track the medicine down, only to find that Izzy's computer has led Machinedramon's evil forces to them. Izzy uses his computer to throw them off track and he and Tai manage to escape. They return to the others-- just in time to see their temporary home obliterated in a missile attack. The others got out in time and a happy reunion is shared by all. Machinedramon appears. The kids run into a building and Machinedramon causes it to crumble on top of them.
Episode 49: "The Crest of Light" (5/6/2000)
The kids have fallen into the sewers beneath Machinedramon's city. Sora, Biyomon, and Patamon find Kari, T.K., and Gatomon, as Kari awakens from her fever. Izzy, Tai, and their Digimon landed somewhere else. As Kari's group searches for Tai's group, they run into WaruMonzaemon, who has enslaved the Numeron. A strange light emerges from Kari, which makes the Digimon stronger than ever. With Kari leading, the group overtakes WaruMonzaemon and frees the Numeron. The group decides to follow the light, hoping it will lead them to Tai and the others. Machinedramon destroys WarMonzaemon. Tai, Izzy, and their Digimon look for Kari's group. They run into Andromon and are attacked by Machinedramon. Soon after, they run into their friends. The strength of Kari's light enables WarGreymon to defeat Machinedramon.
Episode 50: "Joe's Battle" (5/13/2000)
Tai and his crew are confronted with the powerful and ruthless LadyDevimon. Tai divides his forces, sending Sora and T.K. to find the others. Mimi and Joe find Elecmon in the destroyed Village of Beginnings and convince him to join their cause. Suddenly, Joe announces that he and Gomamon are going off for a while to find their place in the world. Meanwhile, with WarGreymon's help, Tai and his crew defeat LadyDevimon. But there is no time for celebration, as they are immediately faced with a far deadlier foe: Piedmon, the last of the Dark Masters.
Episode 51: "The Crest of Friendship" (5/20/2000)
Joe and Gomamon are on the lookout for Matt, when they discover his boat. Meanwhile, without much success, WarGreymon battles Piedmon. The kids realize they can't defeat Piedmon without the whole group. Lost in a cave, Matt decides that he is not needed, Gabumon comforts him and helps him realize that his friends need him as much as he needs them. They find their way out of the cave. Sora finds Matt's boat, but becomes depressed when she doesn't find Matt himself. She and Biyomon are sucked into the same cave by black mist. Matt, Joe, and the others climb down there to find her. Matt convinces her that the cave is a result of her depression and she must fight back to break free. She does and the cave disappears. The group goes to help Tai defeat Piedmon. Matt's Digimon gains strength when he realizes that he and Tai are closer friends than ever.
Episode 52: "Piedmon's Last Jest" (5/20/2000)
The kids and their Digimon try to destroy Piedmon, but he begins turning them all into key chains, except Kari and T.K. T.K. calls on Angemon, who digivolves into MagnaAngemon and saves the two kids. MagnaAngemon turns the key chain kids back to normal. Piedmon attacks again with his army of Vilemon, but Mimi arrives with her army of Digimon, who are able to defeat the evil forces. Gennai sends an e-mail explaining that the real enemy is the force that created the Dark Masters. Right then, the ground starts to quake and the Spiral Mountain begins to glow.
Episode 53: "Apocalymon Now" (6/24/2000)
Spiral Mountain begins to crumble and the kids are suspended in darkness. Gennai explains that the evil that created the Dark Masters came from the Wall of Fire. He tells an ancient story about a strange being who walked across the Wall of Fire and threatened the collapse of the Digital World. There were original DigiDestined children who defeated the evil the first time. The kids were summoned because a new evil stepped out from behind the fire. There's a prophecy that this evil will plunge the world into darkness, which is where the kids are currently floating. The transmission cuts out before Gennai can reveal the identity of the evil force. The villain soon appears in the form of Apocalymon, who has the attacks of all the evil Digimon the kids defeated in the past. He crushes their crests and disables the Digimon's ability to digivolve. He sends the kids and their Digimon to the world of data. The kids' faith in themselves restores the power of their crests. They return to their original forms and are ready to battle Apocalymon.
Episode 54: "The Fate Of Two Worlds" (6/24/2000)
Just as Apocalymon launches his Total Annihilation attack, the children's power within causes their digivices to contain the blast. Apocalymon is defeated. Gennai arrives and explains that the DigiWorld will start over, beginning with File Island. The kids arrive on File Island and decide to stay until summer vacation is over because time is slower in the Digital World. Gennai explains that with the defeat of Apolcalymon, the two worlds now exist at the same rate of time. The portal to transport them back to the real world will soon close. Each DigiDestined and his Digimon say their goodbyes. T.K. and Kari somehow know they will meet again soon. Tai says he will never forget the Digimon and knows that someday they will be reunited.
